The Gideon Putnam

The Gideon Putnam is the heart of our wedding weekend and the location for our ceremony and reception. For our wedding party and immediate family, it will also be home base for the rehearsal dinner and morning-after breakfast, making it the most convenient place to stay if you’re closely involved in the festivities. The hotel is located within Saratoga Spa State Park and offers a beautiful, classic setting that allows many of our events to take place without the need to travel between locations. That said, we know it is a higher-priced option, and we want guests to choose what works best for them. Saratoga Springs has many wonderful accommodation options, and we have secured a more cost-effective room block at the nearby Homewood Suites, located just five minutes away. To make things easy, the Gideon Putnam will be providing a shuttle service for guests staying at the Homewood Suites, so no one will need to drive to or from the celebration. Homewood Suites by Hilton Saratoga Springs

The Homewood Suites is our more cost-effective room block option and a great choice for guests who plan to share a room beyond a romantic partner. The rooms are spacious suites and include kitchenettes, making it especially comfortable for longer stays or group lodging. The hotel features a lovely courtyard and is conveniently located just a 5-minute drive (or about a 20-minute walk) from the wedding venue. It’s also next door to Tree House Brewing Company, where we’ll be hosting an optional welcome event on Friday evening. While there is no discount code for this hotel, we do have a room block at a reduced rate, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Use the provided link to book in this block. For guests staying here, shuttle service to and from the Gideon Putnam will be provided, so you won’t need to worry about driving during the celebration.

Albany International Airport

We chose Saratoga Springs as our wedding location because it’s a central, drivable destination for many of our friends and family across New York, Maine, and the East Coast — making it possible to arrive in a single day by car. For guests traveling from farther away and planning to fly, the most convenient airport is Albany International Airport. The airport is approximately 40 minutes from the Gideon Putnam, and rental cars and rideshare services are readily available.
