WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!

Although we both attended the University of Miami, it wasn't until senior year when we both traveled to Chicago to cheer on the Canes against Notre Dame that our paths crossed. We were introduced by a mutual friend in front of Cloud Gate, the Chicago Bean. From the moment we met our connection was undeniable. There was no one else from that day on - 8 years later here we are!

How Drew pulled this off, I'll never know! We had a day planned. Reservations for brunch with friends followed by a day at the park. When we arrived at Washington Square in true Sydney fashion I was bustling along 10 feet ahead of Drew beelining for the restaurant. He insisted that we walk around the front of the park to check out the new trees that were recently added to the grounds. (Sounds sketchy I know, but the park was actually under construction for quite some time.) Then he tried to get me to lay on the wet grass for a photo. Of course that was shot down, real quick! It wasn't until he said "You're making this so f*cking difficult," that it clicked. Oh my God this is happening! He grabbed me by the shoulders and moved me into position. As if I hadn't already made things difficult enough, as soon as Drew got down on one knee another voice sounds from the across the park, "Say yes, say yes!" Now, being San Francisco natives at this point you'd think we would be experts at the art of ignoring homeless people, but this you just couldn't ignore! The words kept getting closer and louder "Say yes, SAY YES" It was there in the park in close company of a homeless man that I said YES to forever. I don't know who was happier - Drew or the homeless man! Cheers erupt from behind me and I turn around to see not only our SF crew but my mom, Suki and two of my college best friends running towards us. Needless to say there were endless bottles of champagne, buttery croissants, a handful of my favorite people and I got my guy forever. What more could a girl ask for? We are so excited to start this next chapter of our lives together and to celebrate it with all of you! See you in wine country!
