It all started in the spring of 2017. Steph was on bumble in Baltimore. She didn't think she had time to date, but it was fun and it gave her great dating stories to share with family and friends. Drew was just learning the world of online dating in DC. He was in a meeting with his boss, and they started "bumbling" for fun. Steph had already "swiped right" for Drew, when his boss swiped as well and they had a match. It took about one day of "bumble messaging" for Drew to ask Steph out on a date. He was conveniently moving to Baltimore on Friday and said he would love to take her out to dinner on Sunday. There was something about Drew that was a little different than the other guys Steph was used to talking to. He was asking interesting questions and was funny, so of course she said yes. Hopkins baseball had played well that year and was in the NCAA's that Sunday, so Steph told Drew that if he could be "ready to go" whenever the game ended, she would love to grab dinner after. Plus, he mentioned Barcocina and that was her favorite spot in Fells. Steph was early and beat Drew to the restaurant (for the first, and last time ever). As soon as she saw him, she was in awe. He was handsome, kind and he made her feel so comfortable. He was hysterical, just the right amount of weird, and so genuine when he spoke. She knew that there was something different about this one. They talked for 5 hours, and made plans for that Friday. That Friday, they made plans for Monday, and the plans never stopped. They became inseparable quickly and, as they say, so the story goes. Over that next year, they enjoyed the highs and lows of life together - meeting family and friends, visiting childhood homes, staying up late and laughing, wine on the rooftop, Ravens games on Sundays, snowdays in the winter, birthdays and so much more. This past Memorial Day, Drew proposed and they decided to spend their lives together. The wedding will be on March 15, 2019 and we hope to see you all there!
