Yes! We’re excited to have little ones join in the celebration. Kids just make everything more fun, and we’re happy to have them with us.

Question

Question

Why World Central Kitchen and The Montreat Wilderness Fund?

Answer

We are excited for the opportunity for all of you to help support a couple of organizations that mean a lot to us. We learned about World Central Kitchen first hand as they provided a great deal of support to Western North Carolina in the aftermath of Helene. They provided many meals for individuals and fresh water for the community. While waiting for potable water to return to our home in East Asheville at the time we became familiar with them as we went frequently to their water trucks filling bottles and a five gallon bucket. At the school where Drew completes therapy sessions one day a week they provided meals for all the students and staff. We learned more about their mission and story in the following months and found their work quite important. Please find more information about World Central Kitchen here - https://wck.org/story/ Montreat has been a special place for Sarah and her family for many years, even before Sarah was born. Drew has more recently come to know how special of a place Montreat is. Sarah and Drew have spent a great deal of time together hiking trails in Montreat and are grateful for the volunteers and staff who make hiking those trails possible. Sarah and Drew shared their third date hiking to a viewpoint called Rattlesnake Rock. Drew was unsure if there would be a following date because he could hardly talk on the way up due to barely being able to breathe as Sarah blazed ahead on the trail. Thankfully there were many more dates and hikes. This same hike and viewpoint was the setting for their engagement with the viewpoint overlooking the town they now call home. Please find more information about caring for the Montreat Wilderness here - https://montreat.org/visit/wilderness Both of these organizations are very important to us, and we would be honored for you to help us make a contribution in support of their work. Contributions from this fund will be split 50/50 between the two organizations.

Question

Can I get a receipt for contributions to the Wally Treat Fund?
