Question

What drinks will be served at the reception?

We will be providing beer & wine, unfortunately the YMCA has strict rules on hard liquor, so please don't bring any.

Where should we stay?

Answer

The lodge itself is big enough to house a few guests, but most will need to make their own arrangements. We recommend staying at one of the cabins/lodges that are part of the broader YMCA of the Rockies campus if possible.

Is marijuana allowed since this is in Colorado?

Answer

The YMCA has a strict no-marijuana policy, so please don't bring any. Like actually. They will cancel our wedding.

Can I park at the venue / Is there a shuttle?

Answer

Parking is limited at the Mountainside Lodge, so we will have a shuttle set up from the Longs Peak Lodge nearby. Please use the shuttle instead of driving to the venue itself. Most of the lodging options are within walking distance to the shuttle, especially the YMCA hotel-style lodge rooms. Walking to the venue is possible but maybe not ideal, as it's roughly 1.5 miles and 700 feet of elevation gain from most cabins/lodges.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Dress code for the ceremony and reception is Semi-Formal/Cocktail. Anything ranging from slacks/khakis with a button up and optional jacket up to a more formal suit would be good. Likewise, anything from a dressy jumpsuit or a blouse and slacks up to a cocktail dress or more formal gown is perfectly fine.
