Things To Do

Here are a list of things I’ve researched in the area. Everything is with 30-45 mins of each other. I’m gonna list some awesome hikes and things I want you guys to try and experience while we are in Utah.

Canyonlands National Park

UT
(435) 719-2313

Canyonlands is a much larger park than Arches. It provides opportunities for day hiking and backpacking. Mountain bikers can tackle challenging dirt roads that lead through the heart of the park.

Arches National Park

UT
(435) 719-2299

People of all ages and abilities can see and explore the park. Many formations can be seen from the scenic roads and parking lots. There are numerous easy hikes for families with children. The more advanced hiker will find difficult and primitive trails which lead to serenity away from the crowds.

Dead Horse Point

UT 84532

Dead Horse Point State Park provides breathtaking desert landscapes as well as dramatic panoramic vistas of Canyonlands National Park and the Colorado River.

Corona Arch Trailhead

Corona Arch Trailhead, Moab, UT 84532

The trail leads to various attractions, including the Corona Arch, Bow Tie Arch, beautiful views of the Colorado River, and a vast slick rock canyon. The trail is suitable for all ages and levels of hiker and is best hiked in the early morning or early evening due to the lack of shade.

Potash Road

Potash Road, UT 84532

This Scenic Byway provides great views of the Colorado River, ancient rock art, and dinosaur tracks. Begin this drive in the late afternoon so you can enjoy the spectacular color on the red sandstone cliffs on the return to Moab as the sun sets.

Moab Giants

112 Utah 313, Moab, UT 84532
, (435) 355-0288

Walk amongst the giants in this fun and interactive park. The park includes a 3D cinema where you can learn about the prehistoric world of dinosaurs. After the film walk around the park where you’ll see state-of-the-art life-sized dinosaurs. It’s filled with tons of interactive displays and is a must if you have little ones with you.

Moab by night

This is a fun dinner cruise we want to do the night after the wedding. Finish the day off with a Cowboy-style Dutch Oven dinner and evening boat ride on the Colorado River. The evening begins with an hour long feast overlooking the majestic Colorado River. Next you’ll board a flat-bottom river boat and cruise the canyon with over 40,000 watts of light to illuminate the canyon walls.
