Driving to OBX
For guests travelling from Southeastern Pennsylvania, to avoid 95 traffic around Washington DC and to take the fastest route, we like to travel via US-13 S along the coast through Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia! This scenic route takes you through coastal farmlands and across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Pro tip: watch your speed on US-13 S in Virginia. We do not want you to have to return to Virginia for a speeding ticket!

Island Driving Tip
If you are driving from other towns on the island (especially on wedding day), allow plenty of extra time. On the Outer Banks, there is often one main road that travels north and south along the island. As you travel further north approaching our wedding venue through the towns of Southern Shores, Duck, and Corolla, the four lane business route converges to two lanes, creating a lot of traffic. Whatever your GPS estimates on wedding day, double it!

Norfolk International Airport (ORF)
ORF is about 2 hours and 20 minutes away, the closest international airport for our out-of-state guests! For our Pennsylvania friends and family, feel free to fly if that is your preference. But, with total travel time, car rental, etc., it may make more sense for you to drive. Please travel however you feel most comfortable!

Regional Airports (MQI, ONX, FFA)
For our pilot friends or guests who have access to smaller aircraft, this is for you! Dare County Regional Airport (MQI) is about 1 hour south of Corolla located in Manteo. Currituck County Airport (ONX) is about 1 hour northwest, which you would pass before coming onto the island if you were driving. First Flight Airport (FFA) is located 45 minutes south. A very unique experience for aviation enthusiasts right on the grounds of the Wright Brothers Memorial!
