Recommendations for our out-of-town guests

Flight

Laguardia (LGA) or John F. Kennedy (JFK)

If you're planning to stay in Brooklyn we would recommend flying into LaGuardia (LGA) or Kennedy (JFK). If your accommodations are in Manhattan, Newark Airport (EWR) is a great option. Distance to the Williamsburg neighborhood where our apartment and ceremony is located: LGA - 15 min cab ride, but limited public transportation options. A quick cab ride to your accommodations is our recommendation if you chose LGA. JFK - 40 min cab ride; 1 hr 10min subway ride to Williamsburg. Let Google Maps tell you how to navigate the subway!

Hotel

Where To Stay

There are many great hotels in Brooklyn! Here are a few of our favorites: The Wythe - in Williamsburg. Walking distance to the L and G subway lines. The Hoxton - in Williamsburg. Walking distance to the L and G subway lines. McCarren Hotel & Pool - in Williamsburg. Walking distance to the L and G subway lines. Franklin Guesthouse - In Greenpoint. Walking distance to the G subway line.

House Or Rental

AIRBNB

There are so many amazing apartment rentals in the city! For neighborhood suggestions: Williamsburg - where our apartment and the ceremony are located. Very walkable, with a ton of food, drink and shopping options. Greenpoint - just North of Williamsburg, one of our favorite neighborhoods in NY. This is a bit further from the wedding action, but it certainly would not be a stretch to stay here. You'll rely heavily on the G subway line if you choose to stay here, but this is a really fun and beautiful part of Brooklyn. Clinton Hill/Fort Greene - where the reception will take place, closer to downtown Brooklyn, Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights. Much more of a classic Brooklyn vibe here.

Train

Getting Around

The subway is how most everyone gets around! Using Google Maps on your phone, plug in the address of where your going, hit directions, tap the "train" icon and it will tell you how to use the subway to get there! Each ride is $2.75 - you can add money on a subway card once you're down in any station. *The L train will not be running on the weekend during this time, just a heads up!* For a more comfortable and direct transportation options, we suggest using one of these taxi apps - Uber, Lyft, or Juno. Classic yellow cabs are still a good option as well, but be sure you know the exact address you're going to.
