Enchanted Rock State Natural Area

Park reservations required especially during weekends. Beautiful drive through the Texas hill country and close by charming, historic Fredericksburg that has a strong German heritage. Hike to the top of Enchanted Rock and see 360 views.

Arrowhead Creek Vineyard / Ab Astris Winery

Favorite wineries in Stonewall, TX, outside of Fredericksburg, TX. 40 minute drive from Boerne. Bride's favorite wines are: Summer Rose from Arrowhead Creek (seasonal, but you can ask and they may have a bottle in the back) and Cabernet Sauvignon from Ab Astris. Both wineries have seating outside. Arrowhead Creek is on the water and Ab Astris is surrounded by beautiful oak trees and feels very intimate.

Lost Maples State Natural Area

State park where fall foliage can be seen. November is when color starts to show!! *Park reservations required especially during the busy time in the fall. HIGHLY recommend booking reservation in advance. Check the state park website regularly for updates on foliage. Beautiful park and hiking even if fall colors are lower for the year.

Cibolo Nature Center

Nature center with access to tranquil Cibolo Creek and serene surroundings and walking trails.

Cibolo Creek Brewing Co.

Local brewpub with great beer, food, and relaxed atmosphere. Old house on main street with inside and outdoor seating. Inside is charming that has local artists' work handing on walls. Bride's go-to order is the Boerne Blonde beer, chips and queso, and BLT sandwich.

El Chaparral Boerne

San Antonio staple mexican food opened Boerne location this summer. They do not take reservations however so may be a wait. But plenty of front patio space and can grab a margarita to enjoy while waiting. Owners renovated beautiful residential home and built big outdoor patio. Patio faces the west and can eat dinner as the sun goes down. Bride's favorite is Nacho Compuestos and El Favorito.

Bear Moon Bakery

Forever a Boerne staple for pastries and coffee. Lines can get long but moves quickly! Bride loves the apricot squares and scones.
