Like many modern-day love stories, Madison and Jacob’s journey all started with a swipe on a dating app. Jacob cleverly initiated the online conversation with a compliment about Madison’s dog, which evidently was the way to her heart. However, Jacob maintains that the video of him performing karaoke on his Hinge profile was what truly secured him a first date with Madison! On August 7, 2022, Jacob and Madison had their first date at Topgolf, and while Jacob was hoping that his golf swing would impress Madison, very little golf ultimately was played that day. Instead, Jacob and Madison spent most of the time consumed in conversation, covering everything from their families, to tastes in music, to college experiences, to favorite foods (which somehow ended up with Jacob telling Madison his favorite beverage was 2% milk). Needless to say, they hit it off and have been inseparable ever since. In the nearly four years following that memorable Topgolf date, Jacob and Madison have enjoyed becoming a part of each other’s families, spending time with friends, living in Arlington, VA (and exploring the D.C. area), sweating through fitness classes together, and even welcoming a furry little friend into the picture (shoutout Summer)! In just a short period of time, Madison and Jacob have undoubtedly made a mark on each other’s lives, not the least of which has been Madison turning into a die-hard Commanders fan and Jacob turning into quite the Pilates princess. But perhaps what has bonded them together more than anything is their shared dedication to faith, family, and each other. So, when a trip to Europe last Spring coincided with Jacob’s plans to propose, it was a no-brainer for Jacob to pop “the question.” On April 25, 2025, Jacob asked Madison to make him the happiest man in the world (which might have been a surprise if Jacob wasn’t nervously pacing the entire day). Jacob and Madison could not be more excited to begin this new chapter of life together and feel incredibly grateful to celebrate it surrounded by the people they love most!
