Getting to Montréal

Montréal is a fairly accessible city by plane, train, and car. It's a gorgeous drive through the Adirondacks from NYC and DC and a straight shot from Toronto on the 401! Note that once you arrive, it's a *very* walkable place and you're unlikely to need a car during your stay. Parking may also be challenging depending on the type of accommodation you've booked.

Accommodations

Hotels and Airbnbs are both great options for staying in Montréal. The best neighborhoods to stay in are Le Plateau (more residential, but with tons of restaurants, shops, and bars) and Vieux Port (easily the most touristy part of the city, but also very beautiful with lots of things to do). Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you'd like help finding a neighborhood or place to stay! We do recommend that you book your stay in either style as soon as possible, given that there's often a festival of some kind or another going on in the city during the summer. Pro-tip: If you're booking an Airbnb, triple check that it has air conditioning! Given that Montréal is a Canadian city, it's not necessarily a given that there will be AC. It does get toasty in June, though! Use the site's filters to make sure you're getting exactly what you need out of your accommodations.

Flight

Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (aka YUL)

If you're planning on flying to Montréal, YUL is definitely the best place to land. You can take an express bus (the 747) or a ~20 minute/$40 cab ride to get downtown.

Hotel Recommendations

While we don't have a block of rooms at a particular hotel, here are a few hotels within walking or a short cab's ride distance of our venue that we'd recommend: InterContinental Montreal: https://montreal.intercontinental.com/ Hotel William Gray: https://hotelwilliamgray.com/ Hotel Nelligan: https://hotelnelligan.com/ Sofitel Montreal: https://www.sofitel-montreal.com/en/ Le Westin Montreal: https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/yulle-le-westin-montreal/overview/ Hotel Omni: https://www.omnihotels.com/hotels/montreal-mont-royal

Getting around Montréal

As we mentioned, Montréal is a very walkable city! Most things to do, eat, and see are within a 15-60-minute walk of wherever you might stay. Definitely bring your walking shoes and explore! If you need to get somewhere quickly (like our ceremony or whatever, nbd), you can take the metro, a bus, a cab, or use a ridesharing app (sadly Lyft doesn't exist in Québec just yet, but Uber does!).
