Yes! We're requiring all of our guests to be fully vaccinated (including a booster; we consider a recent covid infection equivalent to a booster). For Americans entering Canada via airplane, you'll be required to register via the ArriveCan app and share proof of vaccination. We'll continue to update this information as regulations shift!
In line with local (and CDC) guidance, masks won't be required at our celebration. You are more than welcome to wear one at any point if you prefer!
As of 5/15/22, Canada is no longer requiring a negative covid test for entry. However, if you're traveling to Montréal by air, the US will require you to have a negative covid test taken within one day before your flight. The test can be a PCR test or a professionally administered rapid test. If you're driving, no test is required. Getting a test in Montréal is a little trickier than it is in most places in the US, so we recommend making a plan for getting a test ASAP. Here are some options for test-taking!: –Canada Home Doctors offers tests at various sites throughout the city. Rapid tests are CA$69, PCR tests are CA$169. –Biron offers tests at a few sites, including the airport. Rapid tests are CA$89, 24hr PCR tests are CA$175. –BinaxNOW offers at-home tests that are combined with a telehealth appointment, which are accepted by the US. Two tests for $70 USD here: https://store.optum.com/shop/products/abbott-binaxNOW-COVID-19-ag-emed-at-home-test-kit-2-pack/ Quest Diagnostics also offers at-home tests with a telehealth appointment. Two tests for $70 USD here: https://patient.questdiagnostics.com/rapidantigen Finally, your airline may have a list of covid test resources so it may be worth checking out their website!
YES! If you don't have a current passport, please be sure to apply for one as quickly as possible to ensure you can travel to Canada from the U.S. Here's a link with additional information for getting a passport: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/apply-renew-passport/how-to-apply.html.
No! Most people in the city speak both French and English (especially in the hospitality and food industries). But, it can't hurt to brush up on some beginner-level phrases to help you get around and curry favor with your new Francophone friends.
