Is there a hotel block reserved for guests?

Answer

We chose not to reserve a block of hotel rooms for guests because we recognize everyone has different budgets in mind. :) We do HIGHLY recommend booking well in advance, as hotels can fill-up quickly in Madison. We're trying to keep the "Hotels" tab updated with links to hotels that still have availability, so please check there if you're still in need of accommodations!

Although we love our nieces and nephews, we're asking that you please leave the littles at home. <3 Come have a fun adult-only weekend with us!!

Where should I park?

Answer

General Downtown Parking: The city has numerous parking garages in the downtown area. Use the below link to see your options and find real-time updates on stall vacancy. https://www.cityofmadison.com/parking/accessibility/current-hourly-parking-availability Welcome Party Parking: The Edgewater Hotel has a parking garage that offers parking at $4/hr. The parking garage is directly across from The Edgewater at 519 Wisconsin Ave, Madison, WI 53703. There is also the option to park on the nearby streets. I believe Wisconsin Ave and E Gliman St both have free parking after 6pm. And Langdon St has metered parking. Please just pay special attention to the parking signage to avoid parking tickets! Wedding Venue Parking: There are parking lots adjacent to both Goodman Community Center's Ironworks and Brassworks buildings. These 2 lots should be enough spaces to accommodate all guests, but if not there is overflow parking in the lower lot at St. Bernard Church (driveway off Corry St). If you park in the St. Bernard lot please look for the yellow paint and signage that indicate Goodman Community Center's additional parking.

What is the best way to get around Madison?

Answer

If you don't want to drive and it's too far to walk, we'd recommend Uber/Lyft! There are generally plenty of Ubers/Lyfts around, so you shouldn't have issues calling one. You could also rent one of Madison's "BCycles", which are the community bikes that are stationed around the city. They're partially electric so super easy to ride. Our wedding venue is right on the bike path, so if you're up for an adventure the BCycles could be a good option! https://madison.bcycle.com/

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be indoors! Cocktail hour will have an option to be outdoors, but we can always move into the reception area pending unfavorable weather.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want everyone to be comfortable with what they're wearing. We just please ask you keep it at least semi-formal/dressy casual. If you're to be included in the group photos prior to the ceremony, please reach out for color coordination guidance. :)

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm. Please arrive 20-30 mins in advance to get settled in.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We are having a welcome party, open to ALL guests on Friday evening. We hope you can join us to kick off the celebration!

Are photos allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask you to please keep your cellphones on silent and stored away for the entirety of our ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer hired who will capture everything. It's important to us there aren't cell phones in all of our wedding photos. <3 Thank you for your cooperation!
