Some have been asking if they can help us set up the reception. The answer is YES! We need all the help we can get!!! Please feel free to contact either Johnetta or Jennifer if you'd like to help with decorating. We will likely be camped out at our reception venue for much of the week leading up to the wedding. (8/6 -8/10) As payment you will get to see our lovely faces, and we'll likely pay you in pizza!
1:00 pm
We will have the AC blasting for the sake of the groomsmen, so consider bringing a sweater. For more info on "dress code," read the FAQ section
We have thoughtfully planned a ceremony that is unique to who we are and that represents our relationships to our families. As much as we respect tradition, we may move away from certain traditions on this day. Please don't be alarmed. We are excited about the changes we will be making. In case the officiant forgets to mention, we'd like our guests to: 1) Please refrain from using your phones during the ceremony. We would LOVE for you to take reception pics and post them with our hashtag, but we would prefer that you leave capturing the ceremony to the pro's we've hired. Be present. 2) Please remain seated when the bride enters. She's very short. Let her mother see her enter. Let the camera catch her entrance.
2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
This building will also have AC blasting. For more info on "dress code," read the FAQ section.
Feel free to head here immediately after the ceremony! Because we did a "First Look" earlier in the day, our wedding photo session between Ceremony and Reception should be very brief. Also, don't wait to eat!!! We will not be serving a sit down dinner, but feel free to dig into the appetizers and desserts as soon as you arrive. We want our guests well fed and ready to dance!!! We will join you ASAP.
