It’s the age old story of two people being forced into meeting each other by their mutual friends. Colby’s first goal was to “get his friends off his back” about meeting girls, so he went through the motions of getting to know Hannah with every intention of ending up contentedly single. Hannah’s goal was to scare Colby away as quickly as possible so that she could go back to being contentedly single. Both of them failed miserably and ended up connecting over their shared “90’s kid” experiences, food, Netflix, family, Maine Summers, and their faith. They fell fast and haven’t regretted it since.

Colby has pulled off numerous romantic feats over the course of the relationship, but the proposal day/weekend was the best. To summarize: Hannah turned around and there was Colby. He was on one knee, holding the dream ruby ring, the full beach vista in the background… and a huge grin on his face! She screamed “YES!!!” Some random onlookers clapped. Then Colby revealed that 1) He had an undercover photographer, and 2) The stunning ring he had just given Hannah included heirloom diamonds from his and her mother. There were tears and many kisses. Then, the couple drove off to Rockland for a weekend getaway, and they giggled nonstop.
