Old Town Farmers Market
The Old Town Farmers' Market is amazing! Located in Market Square in front of Alexandria’s historic City Hall, the market is open every Saturday, rain or shine, 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Parking is always free on Saturdays during market hours in the Market Square Parking Garage (301 King St.), located directly under Market Square Plaza from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. year round. Or take the free Old Town Trolley!
Paint-your-own Ceramics Studio
Looking for a fun activity to do while here? How about painting your own ceramics? We have custom-designed plates for our weekly 'flatbread Fridays' that we made here. It is a blast!
Check out the "Spite House"
"Spite House" is the skinniest house in the U.S. at just 7 feet wide! It was built (out of spite, of course) in 1830 to keep loiterers out of the disgruntled owner John Hollensbury’s adjacent alley.

A busy seaport for centuries, Alexandria’s waterfront juxtaposes historic authenticity and new happenings. It's the best place to take in picturesque views of the Potomac River and Washington, D.C., and we often go for walks here!
Carlyle House Historic Park
The Carlyle House is an eighteenth-century historic house museum. John Carlyle, a wealthy merchant and a founder of Alexandria, completed his elegant stone mansion in 1753. Today, Carlyle House is one of the nation’s finest examples of Georgian residential architecture. The gorgeous gardens in the back are open to the public––take a look!
