San Clemente Pedestrian Beach Trail
A scenic trail that runs along the ocean for nearly 3 miles, stretching from North Beach to Calafia. Perfect for a morning jog, a bike ride, or a leisurely walk with stunning views of the coastline and passing trains.
Dana Point Harbor
Dana Point Harbor offers beautiful ocean views, waterfront dining, and a relaxing place to stroll along the marina.
Bear Coast Coffee
Right next to the San Clemente Pier, this local favorite is known for its craft lattes, seasonal flavors, and laid-back beachside vibe. A perfect stop before a stroll on the pier or a morning at the beach Pictured: We stopped here when we started wedding venue shopping!
In-N-Out Burger
A true Southern California staple and one of Jamie and Nathan’s favorites. Affordable, casual, and always reliable, In-N-Out is known for its fresh ingredients, classic menu, and iconic burgers—making it an easy go-to SoCal spot.
Bluestone Lane San Clemente Café
A great food option with a strong brunch and coffee focus. Bluestone Lane is best known for its Australian-style coffee, but it also offers a solid brunch menu with fresh, well-balanced dishes in a bright, relaxed café setting. It’s ideal for a casual brunch, a leisurely breakfast, or a coffee stop!
Sancho's Tacos
A laid-back taco spot with a classic Southern California surf vibe. Nathan frequently visits the Newport Beach location after a post-surf session. His go-to order is The Federale—slow-roasted carnitas with fresh onions and cilantro, sour cream, and Chubbie Sauce (a must). Casual, flavorful, and a true SoCal favorite.

The Olive Pit, One of Jamie & Nathan’s favorite date night spots when they lived in the area! Their go-to order is the 2 kabob plate with one chicken and one steak kabob, rocka salad, and basmati rice and Nathan swears by the fried zucchini.
Ape Coffee Placentia
For those staying in the Placentia/Brea area, we recommend Ape Coffee, known for their famous banana latte, creative specialty drinks, and trendy café vibe! About 45–55 minutes from Talega Golf Club.
Angel Stadium
Catch the Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers game at Angel Stadium at 6:38 PM on May 23rd for a classic Saturday evening activity.

One of Jamie & Nathan’s spots for sunset walks and morning runs, coastal views around Newport’s iconic Back Bay. Nathan put many miles on these trails last year while training for his marathon.
