COVID-19

Information regarding our wedding venue and COVID-19 will be updated here
Question

How is Riverdale Manor currently handling COVID-19?

Answer

Situated along the peaceful Conestoga River on 6 waterfront acres, Riverdale Manor offers a charming venue for your festivities, complete with various indoor-outdoor spaces to suit your style. Take the ballroom. It typically can seat 200 for dinner; it has an entire wall that opens to let the fresh air in (this has also allowed the space to operate at near-full capacity despite pandemic regulations.) Two open-air pavilions set the scene for cocktails or after-dinner dancing; they capture the cool riverfront breeze during the summer and are heated in the winter to avoid the chill. Start to finish, rain or shine, couples can host the entire event undercover outside. Among the new programs implemented for COVID are couples are encouraged to assign seating for the ceremony and dinner in social bubbles; all hors d’oeuvres displays and passed snacks are touchless, so guests simply grab and go without sharing utensils.

Question

How are we making our wedding safe for our guests?

Answer

We are happy to share with you our plans for keeping everyone safe and respecting social distancing. For our ceremony, chairs will be organized in "social bubbles" - rows of 2 and 4 on either side of the aisle. This will take place in the covered, outdoor gazebo that can be heated if it's chilly. Cocktail hour will take place on the outdoor, covered patio which also has heating units. The grounds are open to walk at any time if the weather permits. The reception will take place inside the ballroom, however all french doors will be open. There is an entire wall of french doors lining the longest wall of the ballroom. Since our guest count is less than half the max capacity, we have full flexibility in how many people we seat at each table in the ballroom. Tables will be organized in social bubbles based on who lives and/or works together. This means we can do tables of 3 and up to tables of 8 people. After dinner dancing will take place in the outdoor, covered gazebo and patio areas.

Question

What is the mask policy?

Answer

Riverdale Manor can not enforce masks, however we are asking all guests to please respect each others personal space by maintaining 6 foot distancing when possible, especially when indoors. Sanitizer stations will be set up throughout the venue as well as an outdoor sink to wash hands. If you wish to greet each other via handshake or hug, please wear a mask and be mindful of the other individual's wishes. We are trying to keep this a safe and comfortable environment for all of our guests. Please remember that some guests will fall into the "high risk" category so remember to be mindful of others before approaching someone without wearing a mask or to make physical contact. Ask before you approach! Although the majority of our wedding will take place in covered, outdoor areas, we want this wedding to be safe and worry-free!
