*BEACHES*
If you’re looking for a beach getaway, historic downtown Wilmington is only 30 minutes from The River Landing.
There, you can check out the WWII Battleship Memorial. Tickets range from $6 to $14. The Battleship is right next door to Wrightsville Beach, so you can spend the rest of your day at the beach.
Also nearby is the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. Here, you can enjoy seaside restaurants and bars, take a stroll by all of the shops, and pick up some sweet treats along the way. And of course, the beautiful Carolina Beach is right there as well.
Maybe you’re more interested in the sea life around the beaches. There are two aquariums nearby that the whole family is sure to love.
