Question

Wedding Guest Shuttle Quick Facts

Answer

We will be providing a free shuttle service to our guests to transport them to and from the wedding. If you would like to utilize this service, please provide your total guest count in your RSVP so we can book the appropriate number of vehicles. If you change your mind about using the transportation, please let us know so we can adjust our headcount. The shuttle will pick up and return guests at the Alohilani Hotel in Waikiki. You do not need to be a guest at the Alohilani Hotel to use this service. The shuttle service can provide car seats, we will just need to know the number of people in your party and the number of car seats you will require. The car seats will be already set up at pickup with enough room for your party to sit near them. Alohilani Hotel -> Wedding Venue Pick up @ 2:30 pm, Arrival at Kualoa Ranch Paliku Gardens @ 3:30 pm Wedding Venue -> Alohilani Hotel Pickup @ 10 pm, Arrival back in Alohilani Hotel @ 11:15 pm The vehicles will likely be Ford Transit Vans or Mercedes Sprinter Vans provided through Paradise Hawaii Tours. You are more than welcome to also take your own car. There is plenty of parking available at the venue.

Question

What is the best way to get to the wedding venue?

Answer

You can either utilize the shuttle or drive yourself. The venue has plenty of parking walking distance from the ceremony and reception site. The drive can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour from Waikiki and 30 minutes away from the North Shore.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

For the wedding, we ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a tea-length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie for men.

Question

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

We don't recommend that you wear stiletto heels. The venue is mostly a grassy lawn, so wear chunky heels, wedges, or sandals.

Question

Where should I stay on the island?

Answer

The two most popular areas to stay are Waikiki and the North Shore. Waikiki is in Honolulu city center and has many resorts, restaurants, shopping options, and a beautiful popular beach. The North Shore is a laid-back surfer town with tasty local restaurants, food trucks, cool shops, and plenty of shave ice. It is definitely a slower island town in comparison to the Waikiki city vibe. The North Shore is also known for its incredible beaches and great surfing waves. You can't go wrong with either and you are only an hour's drive away from any other part of the island so you can do easy day road trips to explore and see other areas.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! There will be many kids at the ceremony. There's a huge lawn at the venue and we plan to have lawn games for people to enjoy, too. We are excited to see all of the kid's best dance moves!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Generally, October in Hawaii is 70 - 80 degree weather. The venue is between the ocean and the mountains, so it is prone to sudden showers and windy moments. The reception will be held under a beautiful big top tent, so we will be sheltered from the elements!

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies in your RSVP so we can be sure to accommodate you.

Question

Whom can I contact with questions?

Answer

Please don't hesitate to reach out to Doug or Kara, also for travel questions you can email our travel agent Kristen Fairbanks (kfairbanks@mandmmagicaladventures.com) for assistance booking hotel, flights, rental cars, and excursions.
