Without a military ID you cannot drive or park on the Naval Academy grounds. There is parking available on the streets of Annapolis but those fill up fast and some are limited to 4 to 6 hours. The Calvert Street Garage near the St. Johns Campus is free on the weekends and the City Dock Lot is right downtown! Keep in mind that once you park downtown, you won't need to drive anymore! Everything is within a few minutes walk in Annapolis.
If you ever are lost in Annapolis, keep an eye out for Midshipmen. Freshmen and Sophomore (called Plebes and Youngsters) are required to be in unifom at all times. Pull one aside and they will be able to steer you in the right direction! https://www.usna.edu/_files/documents/USNA_Visitors_Map.pdf
Since you are already on the Naval Academy grounds, take a walk around! The Academy dates back to 1845 and contains a lot of history. Under the Chapel is the crypt of John Paul Jones, the Father of the American Navy. The large building is Midshipmen "dorms," head over to Bancroft Hall and get a taste for how they live and more history of the Academy. Scattered across the grounds are various monmuments to pay homage to the Navy and our many victories. Every cannon you see has been captured in battle from our enemies! Grab a Midshipman and ask away, we all love to talk about the incredible history of the Academy.
