LUNA Mexican Kitchen - The Pruneyard

1875 South Bascom Avenue, #570, Campbell, CA 95008

A staple of Doug's diet when he lived in San Jose.

Orchard City Kitchen

1875 South Bascom Avenue, #190, Campbell, CA 95008

- Hikes -

Castle Rock State Park

Castle Rock State Park

15451 California 35, Los Gatos, CA 95033

Saratoga Gap and Ridge Loop was our first hike together. This trail is rated as moderate and is about 5 miles round trip. If you're looking for a shorter walk, we also recommend Castle Rock Falls Overlook or Goat Rock Overlook. Note: There is a $10 vehicle day-use fee.

Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve

Cupertino, CA 95125

We enjoy the Wildcat Loop Trail, but the Deer Hollow Farm Trail Loop is also a short and scenic walk.

Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve

San Jose, CA 95120

The trail to the summit of Mount Umunhum is a slightly more intense trek (~8 miles round trip) that rewards you with breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains, and the Pacific Ocean. The peak holds a special place in Katie’s heart as it overlooks her childhood home in Almaden Valley. Though it only opened to the public in 2017, it has quickly become a local favorite. Pro Tip: Not a hiker? No problem! The summit is also accessible by car.

- Wineries -

Ridge Vineyards

Ridge Vineyards

17100 Montebello Road, Cupertino, CA 95014

One of our favorite wineries and one of the most famous in California. Beware of the drive up (and back down).

Testarossa Winery
