Best Man
It all started in 6th grade in the back of science class sitting next to each because their ‘Z’ last names. From there, Doug and Zach became great friends playing halo, World of Warcraft, and Call of Duty Zombies. They worked for Doug’s Grandpa for many summers doing property maintenance and painting, coming up with zombie apocalypse plans while they worked. Through all the highs and low of life, Zach has been there for Doug. Doug is so happy that he will be next to him on the big day.

Ever since freshman year of college in Psychology, Doug and Devon have became great friends who have been there for each other for the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows. She is incredibly supportive in both faith life and day-to-day. Every year, they go to metal concerts that occasionally get a little too rowdy. Doug is proud to call Devon a dear friend!

What a fantastic person, Alex is! He is thoughtful, honest, empathetic and caring of his friends. Ever since Doug and Alex met at Regretti’s, they have became close friends. Doug was proud to stand up in Alex’s wedding a few years ago. He is elated to have Alex standing up in his wedding.

Matt has been a dear friend of Doug’s for a while, especially all through high school. They played baseball in high school, shot fireworks at each other when they were bored, and occasionally went out on awesome hikes in Giant City near SIU. Matt is a great friend, who Doug is grateful to have in his life.

Quiet, strong, independent, and one of the genuinely nicest guy Doug knows. Doug knew right away that him and Sean would be great friends. They became suite mates at the beginning of Doug’s sophomore year in the college. Spending waaaaaaay too much time on League of Legends and staying up watching YouTube videos are some of Doug’s favorite memories. Doug was happy to return the favor to Sean when he asked Doug to be a groomsman. Doug couldn’t think of a better way to return the favor!

Thomas is the definition of supportive, encouraging, genuine, and most importantly, faith filled. From the first double date over Mexican food, Doug knew that Thomas and him would be great friends. In the short time the two have known each other, Thomas has helped Doug grow in his faith life! Doug is excited to see how much their friendship will prosper in the future.

From the moment Arielle held her baby sister, Abbey has held a special place in her heart. The sisters shared a room together for years. They got into so much mischief together, most notably creating a bungee jumping rope for their cat. Abbey has always loved and affirmed Arielle’s quirky personality. Time has bonded the two together in friendship!

If you looked up the definition of “protective older sibling” a picture of Heather would be right besides it. Even though the sisters are as different as can be, the love and support have always been there! Heather has been one of the best defenders Arielle.

Arielle and Bethany’s friendship started at college in 2012. They bonded over a shared love of the Bachelor and pranks! Despite the long distances between them, their friendship continues to blossom. The support of a faithful friend and sister in Christ has meant the world to Arielle. She is grateful to have Bethany stand up with her.

Arielle met Katelyn back in January 2020. In need of Christian fellowship, the two came together to create a small group for women at their church. Katelyn has become a dear friend, a sister in Christ, and a confidant! Katelyn brings so much joy and warmth to Arielle’s life.

Angela is married to Arielle’s older brother, Jimmy. Angela seamlessly became one of the sisters. She has brought so many wonderful additions to the family, like her kindness and generosity!
