Looking back at the year 2020, Nick and Audrey didn’t know that they would soon meet their soulmate. Nick was graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Audrey was graduating from the University of Iowa. Audrey’s plan was to attend law school, but with the pandemic, she decided to change her path and apply for jobs. Nick’s plan was to start working in Chicago. After virtual graduation in May of 2020, Nick and Audrey started their fully remote new job at a financial firm based out of Chicago. Six months into the job, Nick and Audrey finally virtually crossed paths in November of 2020. The two learned that they loved working together and soon were on Zoom calls for hours. With COVID restrictions lifting in January of 2021, the couple met in person at a work brunch and instantly hit it off! With Nick living in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and Audrey living in the Chicago suburbs, the two initially had about 200 miles between them. Because of this, Nick spent his weekends making the three hour drive down to Chicago to hang out with “his friends” (and Audrey!). It wasn’t until May of 2021 that Nick and Audrey shared their official first date. They started dating soon after and have been in love ever since!
