Maid of Honor
Casey and Cortney met in college. The first night they hung out they took an hour to make it to a party that was 5 minutes away because they couldn't stop creating dances down the streets of Lock Haven. Their friendship really took off during their Spring Break 13' trip where they competed in competitions that they never won, ended up in a YouTube music video that no one will ever see and said "OHHH NELLY FURTADO" more times than the average person would say in their lifetime. They are always laughing, usually at things that no one else finds funny, but that is one of the things Cortney loves most about their friendship. It has been over 8 years of vacations, surprise visits and growing up together. Casey is truly Cortney's best friend, her "person" and now MOH!
Best Man
Chris and Rich have been best friends for over 15 years. Their friendship started out a bit rocky as they are both competitive (still to this day) and played against each other in multiple sports. Once High School came around, they realized their competitiveness was something that brought them together. Some of Rich's favorite memories of their friendship are the six-floor crew, cutting down the Christmas Tree and stealing Yuengling beers from Chris's dads fridge when they were just 16 years old. Rich considers Chris a brother and looks up to Chris for all he has accomplished in his life thus far. Rich was Chris's best man for his wedding in 2013 and is excited to have Chris return the favor next year!
Bridesmaid
Jessica and Cortney met in the early 90s...a time when Jess was upgraded from single child to big sister. They had their typical sisterly arguments growing up, but once they started partying together there was no turning back. Cortney has always looked up to Jess and what she has made (and continues to make) of her life. A sister best friend is truly like no other and Cortney is so excited to have her big sister a part of her special day!
Groomsman
Matt aka "Pauline" and Rich met through 9th grade basketball (we all know who was the better player) and became friends right away. Growing up, they spent endless hours at Matt's house, playing baseball together and even spending some time at the Woodlands. They have had many "Dumpster Boys" trips - nothing else needs to be explained about those - that Rich will forever "remember". Rich was Pauline's best man at his wedding and is excited to now have Pauline standing by his side on his big day.
Bridesmaid
Camryn aka Cortney's Weally Gweat Sista was the latest addition to the sister crew in the 2000s. Cortney was only in the 5th grade when Camryn was born and she instantly clung on to the idea that she was "her child". Cortney loved Cam so much she insisted that they shared a room (when she was only a few months old). That quickly changed when their parents did a fire alarm test and Cortney left Camryn in the bedroom as she ran up and down the hallway screaming. Cortney is excited to see where Camryn's life takes her and couldn't celebrate her big day without her!
Groomsman
Brandon and Rich met through sports when they were growing up. They became really close friends when they both attended Lock Haven University. They spent many, many, many hours drinking beers together, watching sports and just all around hanging out. One of Rich's favorite memories of their friendship is taking Brandon's black Convertible "Black Banana" to Camelback Waterpark and that is all we need to say about that! Rich will be Brandon's best man in his wedding in July and can't wait to also have him standing next to him in September.
Bridesmaid
Jill and Cortney have been friends for over 10 years when they both attended Ridley High School. They always joke how they have such similar lives and always end up sharing similar experiences. From high school parties, girls nights, backyard BBQs and so much more their relationship has always been strong. One of Cortney's favorite memories of Jill is nicknamed "best day ever" and that is all she is going to say about that!
Groomsman
Eric, a fellow Dumpster Boy, met Rich during 8th grade Cougar Basketball Camp. Stealing a 100lb ceramic donkey, watching Pauline eat tinfoil pizza at LHU and drinking extra gold lagers from his dad's basement are some of Rich's best memories with Eric. Rich even gave Eric his forever nickname of "Wang" because he showed up late to basketball practice because he was getting wings with his mom.
Bridesmaid
Tessa and Cortney became roommates in 2015. Their friendship really took off after they went to Dewey Beach to celebrate MDW. Cortney got so sunburned that her and Tessa stayed in the hotel the last night there watching Disney movies...that is when Cortney knew that Tess was the real MVP! From running in races (always in the rain) across Philadelphia, going to brunch, LBI trips or having drunken nights out...their relationship is truly something special!
Groomsman
Donnie and Rich met at Lock Haven in 2014 when Donnie was a graduate assistant Athletic Trainer. They became immediately close when Donnie ordered them shots of Rumpleminze at the Hanger 9. Their friendship continued to develop through the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society, attending conferences and serving on committees together. Fond memories that Rich has with Donnie are filling the conference hotel bathtub with beers and ice, talking to PATS Hall of Famers and improving the profession for ATs.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Cortney met in 2015 (thanks to the wonderful Tessa Llewelyn). Katie eventually became one of Cortney's roommates in Fishtown and their friendship evolved ever since! Cortney loves Katie's free spirit and honest personality. Girls nights, brunches and getting drunk over wine are Cortney's favorite times with Katie, or maybe when Katie spilled wine all over her bed and tried to clean it up with Clorox.... she still can't decide.
Groomsman
Rich first met Ronnie when he was a Division 1 basketball player for Saint Francis University. They developed a close relationship when Ronnie tore his ACL and Rich helped him recover. Ronnie then became a graduate assistant coach a SFU which had Rich and him working closely together on the performance aspects of the men's basketball team. Rich and Ronnie enjoyed endless beverages at CP's and the Castle (if you only knew). Some of their best memories are the night in NYC, Louisville and of course Ronnie smacking Rich's teeth out of his hand because....who needs those?
Ring Security
Cortney's stepbrother, William has one of the most important jobs at the wedding - guarding the rings! He has been tasked as Cortney and Rich's Ring Security and let's just say he has been practicing ever since they asked him. Cortney and Richy Rich (as William likes to call him) loves how energetic, silly, smart, and loving William is. They can't wait to see him in his suit, walking down the aisle, guarding the rings!
Officiant
Cortney first met Jairus in 2016 when he became her trainer at City Fitness. From there, their relationship grew as Jairus quickly became not only Cortney's trainer, but her therapist, and most importantly her friend. After training sessions, Cortney would spend a good amount of time in Jairus' office talking about all the things! Once Cortney met his wife, Amber, there was no backing out of their friendship! Some of Cort's best memories with Jairus are killing it! MFOK & golf simulation night. Jairus met Rich in 2019 at our friend’s wedding & the two hit it off right away. They talked all thing sports and working out - go figure! There are so many reasons why Jairus is the perfect person to marry the soon to be Bertie's, but I guess you will just have to attend the wedding to see why!
