Rich & Cortney met in college in 2012. If you asked both how they met, you would get two different answers. Her: "I can't recall the exact moment, but I saw him around at different parties. He became really close to the friends I hung out with, so our friendship grew from there." Him: "There was a specific party I was at, she was wearing a blue dress & looked incredible. Wish I could find that photo! After that, we began hanging out with mutual friends & developed a strong friendship." Throughout their last few years of school & even after they graduated, their friendship grew stronger. From weddings, to drinking in Philly, to ugly sweater parties or even Rich going MISSING for an entire evening (we won't get into that!) they always had a good time. Rich eventually expressed he wanted to be more then friends & Cort responded with "No way, you're my best friend", more than once. Their friendship took a hit after that, and they really didn't speak for a couple years. 2017: Rich invited Cort to a Sixers game with him and his friends. They hadn't seen each other in a few years, but Cort thought it would be fun (it was!) They drank, they laughed, they took photos - just like the good old days. By the end of the evening, Rich's friends tried to get them to kiss and let’s just say it didn't end in fireworks. 2019: They were texting (or should we say complaining) about the people they were both dating at the time. It was in that moment, that Cort casually said, "we should just date" & I am pretty sure Rich took it as a joke and kept the conversation moving. A month later, Rich was traveling for work & was going to be close to Cort so he invited her to get drinks. She did and honestly, they have been inseparable ever since! Her: Everyone always told me we would end up together & I thought they were crazy. I am happy as hell that Rich took a chance on me. He once told me “You are supposed to marry your best friend" & I can say without a doubt I get to do just that!
