"What do you say when you're twenty-six, we get married just for kicks?"

We'd been following each other on Twitter for a few months. Austin had found Sydney through a mutual friend on the app and they began liking each others tweets back and forth since March. Finally in June 2021, Austin reached out to Sydney and asked her on a date. A week later, he drove down to Louisville to meet her for sushi. Since, then, we're not sure if we've really spent more than a day apart from each other.

Austin surprised me, by taking me to Alms park for a picnic. We had been to Alms park for one of our first of many park dates and we picked up sushi on our way. I had no idea it was happening, we tied Charlie up and ate our dinner. I was talking about something nonsensical when Austin pulled out the ring. I seriously couldn't believe it and kept asking if he was joking. Once he asked, of course I said, YES. And we were engaged. We can't wait to celebrate this exciting chapter of our lives with you all. See you on Oct. 7, 2023!
