I Have So Many Questions!

The Wedding Website of Lindsay Schramm and Joe Dopirak
A few answers to common questions below. If you have any other questions, please contact the Mother of the Groom, Rose Dopirak at danodopirak@gmail.com.
Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! If you are in need of a babysitter in Grove City, please let us know and we are happy to help you find one.

Question

Is this a no-cellphone ceremony?

Answer

Yes, please. We ask that you keep your cell phone turned off and tucked away throughout the ceremony. The absolutely lovely Rachel Rowland Photography will be taking all the photos and we will post them online to share with everyone - sit back and enjoy the moment with us!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. Glorious you.

Question

Is it a cash bar?

Answer

Absolutely not. Beer and wine will be provided and flowing throughout the reception and cocktail hour! Flasks are not permitted at the venue, but there are no metal detectors either ;-)

Question

What's the Dress Code?

Answer

Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. Our ceremony will be outdoors, so ladies, if you feel more comfortable in flat shoes on the grass, please feel free!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, check out our Travel & Accommodations page for all the info you need.

Question

What is "the bridal dance"?

Answer

A tried-and-true Pittsburgh tradition! During the bridal dance, male guests can give $1.00 to dance briefly with the bride, and female guests can give $1.00 dance with the groom. Often times, the dollar will be tied in a knot (and dipped in water if you are mean), so the bride and groom have to work together later on to untie them, dollar by dollar! The custom originated in Poland in the early 1900s in immigrant neighborhoods and is beloved throughout the Pittsburgh area.

Question

Cookie Table?

Answer

Rustic Acres Farm will be providing a table full of declicious desserts. Our caterer will make sure everyone has plenty of sweets and will not have an extra table set up for cookies.
