Meet Sharmila, mother of the bride and undoubtedly the most hyper-excited person you will meet at the wedding. She is a master of delegation, so don't be surprised to find yourself drafted for an essential wedding task! She is also a warm ball of love with a million-dollar smile and an undying sweet tooth, who usually shows her growing appreciation for you by feeding you an exponentially growing number of sweets. You have been warned, come prepared!
Ujwala Deshpande
Chief Sweetheart
Ujwala is Ved's mom, and probably the sweetest person you'll meet at the wedding. She has a wild side which she keeps carefully hidden--don't be fooled by that innocent face ;) She is unselfish, generous and is one of the most giving people we have come across. Dooti and Ujwala have become fast friends over the years and regularly collude together to irritate Ved. She's a caregiver at heart, so if you're feeling the blues, she's a guaranteed cure!
Debasish Roy
(Missing) Chief Unifer
Dooti's father and the one with the biggest heart in any party. He left us last year in an untimely fashion and will be very much missed. He had also one of the most fascinating life stories to share--having been through a revolution, befriending people from all over the world, partying with hippies, and feeding every living thing (from people to sparrows) that he could lay his eyes on. There will be a number of people at the wedding who can talk about him for hours and keep his memory alive!
Prashant Deshpande

Prashant is Ved's dad, and by any standard is the life and soul of the party. It's pretty much impossible not to have a good time when you're around him. If you're crazy about classic rock n' roll, you've found a new best friend!
Anurupa Majumdar

Anurupa is Dooti's sister (Di) and has always been her partner in crime all throughout their childhood till today. She is fun and full of mischievous ideas - look her up if you are cooking something up that you are not entirely sure of!
Bibaswan Chatterjee

Bibaswan aka "Bibs" is Dooti's brother. Dooti and Bibs attended the same school and connected over their mutual disrespect for a certain someone ;) Over the years, he has been family to us, helping us find home in the middle of this big and scary country.
