COVID Precautions

Answer

We are requiring all guests attending the wedding be vaccinated against COVID-19. We hope you understand as we have many immediate family and friends who are in the high risk population and don’t want our wedding to be a worry to anyone. We will be monitoring the COVID-19 situation as we get closer to the wedding and may update our requirements and precautions.

Will transportation be provided from local hotels to the wedding venue?

No, we hope you understand as the local hotels are under 10 min from the venue. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dressy Casual "Part of dressing for a semiformal or dressy casual wedding is taking the time of the wedding into account. Wear darker, more formal colors for an evening wedding; opt for light colors and fabrics for a daytime event. Try a below-the-knee dress or a dressy skirt and top. An elegant pantsuit is also appropriate. Floor-length gowns, however, would be inappropriate. Pair with heels, nice wedges, or formal flats. If the ceremony is being held outdoors and you'll be walking across a lawn, avoid traditional heels that will likely get stuck in the grass. Men should wear a dress shirt and slacks, dark or light depending on the time of day, with the option to wear a tie." Unfortunately, due to the venue's space constraints, we are unable to accommodate kids at our wedding.

In addition to the ceremony and reception, all guests are invited to a brunch the morning after the wedding on 10/2, details will be listed closer to the wedding.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list due to the space of our venue. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation

Is there a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes, we have a room block at Airlie for Friday 9/30 and Saturday 10/1. The link to the room block is located on the accommodations page of this website in the Airlie section. The room block will be available to book until **June 30th.**

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is parking at the venue for both guests of Airlie and visitors. Parking is free and is located near the main manor house. A map of the property is located on the "things to do" page of this website and can be found at the following URL https://airlie.com/property-map/

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to be outside. The reception will be indoors. If weather is an issue the ceremony and cocktail hour will be moved indoors at the same venue. All wedding events are within 50 yards of each other and are very walkable. Also, ladies to help with shoe choices, while the ceremony will be in an area of the garden that is paved, the cocktail hour will be on grass.

What is the average temperature in Warrenton, VA in October?

Answer

The average temperature ranges between low 70s to low 60s (22-15 degrees Celsius for our international guests).

Are Ubers available in the area if we choose not to drive?

Answer

This area is rural, and Ubers/Lyfts/Taxis are in VERY short supply. We do not recommend relying on Ubers to get you to and from the venue if you are choosing to stay in a nearby hotel.
