The I Bar Ranch is only about a mile and a half from the town of Gunnison.
A shuttle from the Holiday Inn will be provided to and from the venue.
A Gunnison tradition! You can dress up or down, but comfort is key. Ladies, we recommend not wearing high heels as the venue is outdoors and we’d hate to see your stilettos get grass stains. A simple wedge or flat will do the trick. Obviously cowboy boots are your safest bet. Gents, slacks or dress pants are perfectly fine, so is a good pair of jeans. No ties required. Or, wear a three piece suit if that’s what you fancy!
We’ll all just have to melt. Just kidding. The venue has a large covered area that can be protect us from the elements.
Mid September is a fantastic time of year in the Gunnison Valley. Typically those summer storms have subsided and there isn’t an ounce of humidity to be found. That being said, it is Colorado and like the saying goes, “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes”. We predict the daytime highs to be in the mid 70’s, and the evening lows to be in the 50’s, maybe down to the 40’s. DON’T PANIC. That isn’t as bad as it sounds. The low humidity keeps it from getting bitterly cold, it’s actually a very comfortable temperature. We do recommend bringing a light jacket for the evening, but you’re not going to freeze to death.
Sure! Even if your children were not listed in the invitation, they are absolutely welcome to join. We will have enough food and seating to include them.
We will have a buffet style arrangement of Italian food from a local restaurant. If you have any dietary restrictions, please email me at kdonohue022@gmail.com and we will happily be sure you are accommodated.
