Travel Note
We are planning on staying in Galway, Ireland from Wednesday 8/28/2019 to Wednesday 9/4/2019 because flights seem to be a little bit cheaper during those days. We recommend using flight price monitoring apps such as Hopper or Skyscanner when searching for your flights. Flying into Dublin, Ireland is likely the cheapest option, however there is an airport in Shannon, Ireland that is closer to Galway/the wedding venue that may surprise with their prices from time to time.
House Or Rental
We are setting up shop in Galway, Ireland from Wednesday, 8/28/2019 - Wednesday, 9/04/2019. We recommend staying in Galway for it's proximity to the wedding venue. Additionally, it's a really amazing city with some great access to the wonderfully beautiful western coast of Ireland. There are many options available for decently priced air B n B (www.airbnb.com) in the Galway area. We recommend exploring these options, and also consider sharing the price with other attendees. Hotels are also available in the region. As far as the night before, and the day of the wedding, there are some options for glamping, eco-lodge, and camping at the venue which we can rent on a first come, first serve basis. Let us know if you wish to explore these options. Additional B&B 5 mile from venue: https://www.cartronhouse.com/accommodation/ Hotel nearby: https://www.loughreahotelandspa.com/ Otherwise, the venue is less than an hours drive from Galway if you are staying there on these nights!
Rental Car
Likely the cheapest flights will fly into Dublin, Ireland. We recommend setting a shop in Galway, Ireland (closer to the venue), which is about a 2 hour drive on a major highway through the heart of the country. Therefore, we recommend either renting a car (this may be your best bet if you plan on exploring the country on your own), or there are bus options for relatively cheap tickets (see https://www.citylink.ie/ for an example. 1-way tix are roughly 21 euros)... Additionally, there is also a train option (https://www.rome2rio.com/s/Dublin-Airport-DUB/Galway) for a bit more.
