Before we ever met each other, we both walked our own paths through love, loss, and learning. Like many people, we had been in relationships that started with promise but ended in heartbreak. Those seasons weren’t easy—they left scars, questions, and moments where we each wondered if the kind of love we longed for truly existed. A love that was patient and genuine. A love rooted in something deeper than chemistry or convenience. We both found ourselves asking the same quiet question in different places and seasons of life: “Is my person really out there?” But God is never late. And He never forgets. In August 2024, in the most unexpected way, He stepped into our stories and gently brought them together… through Facebook. A few messages back and forth. A friendly conversation. Something simple. But behind that screen, something beautiful was already unfolding. Something quiet and steady. From that very first conversation, it felt different. There was ease, but also depth. A warmth and honesty that felt refreshing, even healing. Slowly, what began as digital conversations turned into real connection—thoughtful dialogue, laughter that came easily, and stories that were shared with open hearts. As the days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, we saw how our stories were no longer running parallel, they were beginning to intertwine. We talked about life, love, our hopes and fears, our broken places, and the healing we had experienced. It became clear that we were not just compatible, we were deeply called to each other. We both realized something beautiful: that God had been preparing us for this love all along. Every heartbreak, every unanswered prayer, every season of waiting—it all led here. To this story. To each other. In May 2025, one of us asked a very important question and the other answered with a heart full of certainty. Yes. A joy-filled, tearful, grateful yes. And now, we’re stepping into a new season together. On May 16th of 2026, on Lauren's birthday, we will stand before God, our families, and our dearest friends, and make the most sacred promise of our lives. We’ll say “I do,” not just to a wedding day, but to every day after that...rainy days, sunny days, quiet days, joyful days, hard days. All of it. One verse that continues to speak to our hearts is: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28 This is our truth. Our testimony. That even when we didn’t see the full picture, God was painting it with love and intention. He brought us through the waiting, the heartbreak, the silence… to give us a love that reflects His grace and goodness. We are beyond grateful for each person who has walked alongside us, prayed for us, and loved us along the way. And we are so excited to celebrate this sacred, joy-filled beginning with all of you. Whether you will be celebrating with us in person or from far away, we hope that through this union - you will see the grace of God shine through both of us. With full hearts and so much love, Lauren & Tyler
