Donald & I met by divine appointment, totally unexpected & forever grateful. I had been a Pen It Publications author since 2017 when I changed publishing companies. Donald was searching for a publisher to publish his first book. He wanted to know more about Pen It Publications, so out of all the authors, he saw my picture and said, "I have to meet her." He messaged me to ask questions about Pen it, and our friendship & love began. He said, "It was love at first sight." We have both been through traumatic situations & life events that had left us broken. The Lord led us to Him through those events & healed our hearts in the process. Through daily excruciatingly painful migraines, that do not go away, he lost his wife, his home & his job. He felt as if he had nothing left. The Lord did not give up on him & through his grandma leading the way; the Lord continued to draw him until Donald gave his heart & soul to him.
I lost my youngest son to a car accident, then one after the other, my mom & my dad & my marriage. That was due to his alcoholism that I just could not live with any longer. Through it, I needed to be loved & the Lord led me to Him. I was drawn to writing the moment I was saved & have not stopped since. It has been our past painful life events that drew us to the Lord & eventually to each other. God ordained! Our friendship grew and grew. We discovered that we had a mutual devotion to the Lord and both love ministering to others, writing & traveling.
Through God alone by His neverending love and compassion, we found each other & love again. God knew we both needed to be loved and to love again. Totally unexpected and in different states. I am from Texas & Donald is from Florida. But that is our God, the God of the unexpected! When you give the reins of your life over to God He will do amazing things, trust Him. Do not give up on God, because when you least expect it, He will not only turn your life around, but He will take your mess & make a message out of it and bless you beyond measure! "Now to Him who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21 He brought us together, & Donald is truly the love of my life.
