It all began just over 12 years ago on orientation day at the University of New Brunswick’s Faculty of Engineering. Jennica and Dominik were two ambitious students with big dreams, matching class schedules, and a shared home base—Neville Jones. What started as casual conversations over shared classes and meals at the dining hall quickly grew into a close friendship, fueled by study sessions and frequent Tim Hortons runs. On March 20, 2014, that friendship blossomed into something more, and Jennica and Dominik officially began dating. As the years passed, so did milestones: in 2016, they moved in together with roommates; in 2018, they proudly graduated and settled into their first home as a couple. Life was falling into place. Then came 2019, and with it, a new challenge—Dominik accepted a job in Prince Edward Island, and the two began navigating the ups and downs of a long-distance relationship. Through missed visits, late-night calls, and endless road trips, they remained devoted to one another. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020 and borders closed, they faced their toughest test yet—being truly apart. After two long years, Dominik was finally offered a job back in Fredericton. On his last weekend in PEI, he made a call to Jennica’s father to ask an important question. Later that day, while walking along the beach in Cavendish, he got down on one knee and asked Jennica to be his forever. Since then, they’ve bought a home and continued building a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Now, Jennica and Dominik are so excited to invite you to join them in celebrating the next chapter of their story—becoming husband and wife.
