Aside from the wedding, the most important activity is obviously Tacos. Here is some required eating: 1. Craft and Taco Lounge (Escondido) 2. City Tacos (Multiple locations) 3. Tacos El Gordo (Multiple locations) 4. Salud Tacos (Multiple locations, I prefer Barrio Logan) 5. Las Cuatro Milpas 6. Mi Tierra Super Taco 7. The Taco Stand (Multiple locations)
A giant park in the middle of the city. Balboa Park is located basically on the edge of downtown surrounded by some pretty cool and explorable neighborhoods. There are a fistful of great museums and the San Diego Zoo all attached to this giant park.
As the title says, these are fields of a ton of different kinds of flower as far as the eye can see. Located in Carlsbad and in a fun area, good place to spend a few hours.
Belmont Park is located in Mission Beach. It's one of the most popular beaches in San Diego for a good reason. Belmont Park has a mini theme park, mini golf, rides, etcetera. There are some cool places to grab a seat and eat some food as you look at the beach if you don't want to get in the water. Great place for a family to hang out. Aside from the cool stuff to see, it's located near Downtown San Diego (15ish minutes), and Sea World (basically up the street).
Name is pretty self-explanatory. The area is pretty touristy and has a lot of variety for local souvenirs and whatnot. There are some pretty solid places to stop and eat while you're there, and some cool older building and history to see.
This is the Father of The Bride's favorite place. Near the water, good food, good location.
Fun place to burn a day or so, especially with kids in tow. There's an aquarium attached also which is pretty cool.
