Travel Note
Our wedding will take place on October 11, 2026, at Rocky Hill in White Salmon, Washington. Set within the Columbia River Gorge, often simply referred to as the Gorge, this region is known for its dramatic landscapes, rolling hills, and sweeping river views. In October, the Gorge is especially beautiful, with crisp air, golden hillsides, and vibrant fall colors throughout. White Salmon sits just across the river from Hood River, Oregon, connected by the Hood River Bridge, a quick and scenic drive. Guests will find a range of accommodations on both sides of the river, whether you prefer a quieter, more relaxed stay in White Salmon or a lively, walkable town feel in Hood River.
Travel Note
We are thrilled to welcome you to the breathtaking Pacific Northwest (PNW)! Here are a few key things to know about the area: October weather in the Gorge can vary, with mild days and cooler evenings. It can also be windy, especially near the water, so we recommend dressing in layers and bringing a rain jacket. Cell service is generally good but can dip in rural pockets. Oregon has no sales tax, but Washington does.
Flight
PDX is the closet, major airport to our wedding and offers a scenic 1 hour drive to Hood River through the Columbia River Gorge.
Travel Note
The Portland International Airport (PDX) offers easy rental car options. We recommend renting a car, as rideshares may be limited in Hood River. Additionally, having your own transportation makes it easier to explore the Gorge. There is a small toll to use the Hood River Bridge.
