Getting from ORD to Downtown: CTA Blue Line (Most Predictable Option) The CTA Blue Line runs directly from O’Hare to downtown 24 hours a day. Follow signs in the airport for “CTA Trains.” Purchase a ticket at the station kiosk. Take the train toward “Forest Park.” Exit at Washington, Monroe, or Clark/Lake for the Loop. This is the most reliable option during heavy traffic and typically takes about 45–50 minutes. Taxi or Rideshare (Most Convenient Door-to-Door) Taxis and rideshare services (Uber/Lyft) are available at all terminals. Travel time: 45–60+ minutes depending on traffic Expect higher fares during peak hours This is the easiest option if you’re traveling with luggage or prefer direct drop-off at your hotel.
