Things To Do

We highly encourage our guests to come for the whole weekend if they can and spend time exploring Sutter Creek and the surrounding area. We have listed many of our favorite experiences below. One of our favorite things to do together is wine tasting! There are some great tasting rooms in downtown Sutter Creek, but if you drive about 20 more minutes into the Shenandoah Valley you will find over 50+ amazing wineries. Over the years we have been dating, we have had so much fun exploring the wine country here. Below are also links to a few of our most loved wineries.
Main Street

Main Street

Main Street, Sutter Creek, CA 95685

We love walking down Main Street in Sutter Creek, window-shopping at all of the adorable shops and boutiques, and going to the different restaurants down there. Some of our favorites are Hotel Sutter, Sina's Backroads Cafe, and Rosa's Cocina. They also have a great coffee shop called Choc-O-Latte.

Bella Grace Winery and Olive Oil Tasting Room

Bella Grace Winery and Olive Oil Tasting Room

73 Main Street, Sutter Creek, CA 95685

Our favorite place in downtown Sutter Creek! It is so charming, and the patio outside is perfect for sipping wine. Dominic's favorite is the Barbera, and I love all of their sparkling wines. They also have olive oil and balsamic vinegar tastings with a variety of amazing flavors. We could not recommend visiting here more, we go almost every time we are in town.

Black Chasm Cavern National Natural Landmark

This cave tour is one of the coolest, craziest things we've ever done and seen! Highly, highly recommend going here and doing this!

Amador Flower Farm and Pumpkin Patch

Amador Flower Farm and Pumpkin Patch

22001 Shenandoah School Road, Plymouth, CA 95669

A perfect Fall activity. This flower farm and nursery is right in the middle of wine country. They have a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, and farm animals. The property has a huge pond with fish in it, and it is the perfect spot to bring a picnic lunch.

Indian Grinding Rock Historic State Park

Indian Grinding Rock Historic State Park

14881 Pine Grove Volcano Road, Pine Grove, CA 95665

Learn about the area's Native American history of the Miwok people at this gorgeous state park in Pine Grove. It has great hiking and walking trails through open meadows where you get to see the Indian Grinding Rock, bark houses, and ceremonial round house. It is very peaceful out there and a good spot for a walk or a picnic.
