Question

When is the Wedding?

Answer

Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 4:00 pm.

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

We are getting married at The Gardens at Sutter Creek, in Sutter Creek, California. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held here. The venue's address is 128 Hanford Street, Sutter Creek, California, 95685. https://thegardenssuttercreek.com/

Question

What is the itinerary of the wedding day?

Answer

Guests should arrive no later than 3:30 for the ceremony. Please plan accordingly so you can arrive on time. The ceremony will be directly followed by a cocktail hour and reception. The reception will end at 9:00 pm.

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

On-site venue parking is limited to approximately 40 spaces. Parking is also allowed along Hanford Street in front of the property. There is no parking wherever it blocks any adjacent residential properties or in any posted “no parking” areas. Due to the limited parking, it is advised that guests staying at hotels within walking distance walk to the venue. Almost all of the hotels listed under the "places to stay" tab are within a 5 minute or less walk to the venue.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors? What will the weather be like?

Answer

The Gardens at Sutter Creek is a completely outdoor venue. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place outdoors. The average high during this time of the year is around 75-80 degrees, and the low between 60-65 degrees.

Question

Are there reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

No, it is up to our guests to book their own places to stay. Sutter Creek is a very small, quaint town, with multiple smaller hotels, inns, and bed and breakfasts spread throughout it, and there are ample places for our guests to pick to stay. There are 5 hotels within walking distance to the venue listed under our "places to stay" tab, as well as many Airbnbs, and rental homes in the surrounding area as well. We recommend our guests stay in Sutter Creek, or the surrounding cities of Amador City, Jackson, Plymouth, or Volcano.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We really encourage our guests to go all out and have fun with our dress code and theme which is "garden party", meaning semi-formal with an emphasis on light fabrics, bright colors, floral and other patterns suitable for an outdoor setting. Whimsical, romantic, and fun is the vibe. For Women: Women are encouraged to wear wedges or block heals to navigate grass. Midi, Maxi, or knee length dresses, jumpsuits, long skirts and nice tops. Pastel or bright colors, Fall or Autumn colors, breezy dresses, breathable fabrics. Floral patterns and fun fabrics are highly encouraged. Really have fun with it and embrace the Garden Party vibe! You don’t need to wear just “fall colors” because it is a fall wedding :) For Men: Men are encouraged to wear lightweight suits or blazers, linen suits, button down dress shirts, ties or pocket squares, and dress shoes or loafers. Fun colors or patterns are also encouraged here. https://www.pinterest.com/maggieforbess/wedding-planning/guest-attire/ These websites also provide great examples and explanations of the dress code: https://greenweddingshoes.com/garden-party-attire-dress-code/ https://withjoy.com/blog/semi-formal-wedding-attire/

Question

This will include a choice of meats, beans, rice, and all of the fixings. There will be vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. *There will also be an option to include any other serious allergies or dietary restrictions we may have missed in the RSVP

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be an open bar with beer, wine, vodka, and tequila. We will have two signature cocktails, plus mixers for other cocktails. Guest CANNOT bring any outdoor liquor or beverages of their own onto the premises. Guests are also encouraged to bring cash to tip our amazing bartenders.
