We met at a friends house for movie night and didn't think much of it. Darius had always been known to Johnise as "that guy", she literally could never remember his name just his face! We ended up picking three different movies to watch that night "The Best man, The Wood, and Save The Last Dance". There were plenty of laughs and jokes. That's pretty much when we thought "this could be fun!"

During our second trip out of the country to Riviera Maya, Mexico Darius decided to have a surprise photo-shoot scheduled for Johnise to capture special moments and create lifelong memories. Something new, the day consisted of a Sunday brunch near the sea, followed by an evening photo-shoot. While taking photos at various locations around the TRS resort, Darius finally built enough courage to get on one knee. Unbeknownst to Johnise, on what is occurring as she looks out to the sea. Darius begins to tell a story, proceeding to the proposal stance. Finally, catching her attention, shocked, she gives Darius the wrong hand first, followed by the correct, and says, “YES”. Darius screams out to the nearby crowd creating a moment to remember.
