A shuttle bus will run from the Hampton Inn to Christ Lutheran Church in the afternoon, and can be called to pick up in the evening from Mark's house. CLC has parking, as does Mark's. THE FORECAST IS COLD AND RAINY! Please plan accordingly.

The Bobby & Elsa Story

When the universe first emerged, Rob and Elsa's intertwined souls were spat out of the primordial singularity, and then ripped apart by cruel cosmic expansion. After 13.8 billion years of their atoms vibrating back towards each other, Rob and Elsa were finally reunited when we matched on Hinge in the winter of 2022. Rob impressed Elsa with his knowledge of house music announcing the death of Queen Elizabeth II, and Elsa impressed Rob with her high school state championship in Original Oratory. One month later, Rob proposed to Elsa at an overpriced restaurant in an attempt to get free dessert (did not work) and we have technically been legally engaged ever since! At the end of May of 2023, six months after we'd met, Rob went on a rotation to Camp Humphreys, Korea. All the while, Elsa pined, wrote letters, and unsuccessfully attempted to negotiate Rob’s diplomatic release. Rob returned in February, 2024, and we picked up where we had left off: skiing, hiking, cooking absurdly complicated meals, and levitating two feet off the ground while an old timey horn honked whenever we saw each other. Since our first date, we have loved each other's sense of humor, a joint enterprise which has led to a general danger of taking bits way too far. Elsa loves Rob's kindness, emotional intelligence, laugh, dance moves, eclectic music taste, and ability to turn any stressful situation into some sort of wonderful story. Rob is inspired by Elsa’s boundless curiosity and drive to embrace all that life has to offer. He admires (but doesn’t always like) her seemingly endless social battery. And he loves her for her effortless kindness, quick wit, and profound dedication to those she loves. Loving her is as easy as it is rewarding, and he considers it to be the privilege of a lifetime. We have spent about 11 months of our relationship apart. Because our time together has been so rare, it has been all the more precious. We always talked about Rob's rotation to Korea as our winter. We now feel like we've reached the spring. We have filled our days and hours together with Rolling Stone Magazine's top 100 albums; choreographed karaoke; signature cocktails; ski trips to Epic pass resorts (and even longer car rides to the slopes); at-home spa days; tennis; hikes in Colorado, Montana, and Utah; vacations and vacation crises; home improvement projects; and the same argument about who would win in a fistfight--9 year old Elsa or 5 year old Rob. Our favorite place is the kitchen, where you can find us yelling "yes chef!" as we hit hour 4 of a 45-minute recipe. Rob proposed to Elsa in Glacier National Park over Labor Day, 2024. She had to stop him mid-proposal to grab bearspray because two grizzlies were fighting in the background, but eventually said yes while we both cried. We are a team, best friends, terrible cornhole partners, hopelessly sappy, and consummate champions of each other. Thank you for being part of our spring, we cannot wait to see you next summer.
