Jeepneys and tricycle taxis are a great way to get the local's experience of the Philippines, but I'm not too familiar with the cost and how they work. The best way to get around in my experience would be through the Grab Taxi App, which is like Uber in the Philippines: https://www.grab.com/ph/download/
There are plenty of hotels and AirBnB's around Metro Manila! I would recommend booking one around Bonifacio Global City, south of the Venice Grand Canal Mall as that is where the venue is located. We will be staying at an AirBnB at the Viceroy Towers (a 10 minute walk to the venue).
Since Philippines is 16 hours ahead, you lose a day when you fly to the Philippines. Say you leave on June 18th, the flight is about 16 hours nonstop, when you arrive in the Philippines, it will already be June 20th (day of the wedding!), and I would recommend leaving June 16th or 17th at the latest, and making cushion room for any delays as it is also typhoon season.
