If you're flying, the Raleigh Durham International Airport is a major airline hub just one hour from Downtown Southern Pines. There are rentals available from all major car rental companies, or Ubers/taxis available from RDU to downtown Southern Pines for ~$100.

Amtrak

Downtown Southern Pines, NC is accessible by rail from New York's Moynihan Station and Washington, DC's Union Station. Be warned-- it's a long ride, but the Amtrak drops you off right in town.

Driving

Southern Pines is a five-hour drive from Washington, DC via I-95/I-85. Durham, Raleigh, and Richmond all make for great spots to stop for lunch en-route.

Duncraig Manor and Gardens is an English Country Tudor Style Inn just five minutes from downtown Southern Pines with eight guest rooms, a spa, and included breakfast. Nearby favorites include Pony Espresso and the Weymouth Woods - Sandhills Nature Preserve.
