Support indie theaters playing indie cinema! The Cedar Lee has been an integral part of our lives since Ally first moved to Kent and had to review films for the Kent Stater. Where else in Cleveland can you go see a Jim Jarmusch/Gaspar Noe double feature?
Support independent theaters! The Cinematheque has been near and dear to our hearts since Ally first moved to Kent and began reviewing films for the Kent Stater. In fact, one of Ally and Andy's first dates was at the Cinematheque to see Wong Kar-wai's 2046. Most recently, they went to see the 4k restoration of Texas Chain Saw Massacre there, and it was beautiful.
One of our favorite places to eat! Andy recommends the Cigar, while Ally is addicted to the Ceebee. Amazing falafel and homemade milkshakes!
If you know Ally and Andy, you know they're obsessed with all the delicious food in Chinatown. LJ Shanghai is their favorite dim sum restaurant. Highly recommended, especially if you're a xiaolongbao fiend like Ally!
Ally's favorite place to grab comics in Cleveland! These guys are the nicest of the nice and always hold amazing events. Stop by and grab yourself a title or two!
Most of the music venues Ally and Andy used to go to have shut down over the years. The Agora is about all that remains. Hopefully you can catch something good while you're in town! Just make sure to keep Saturday night open. : )
