We’re putting a modern twist on tradition and inviting all of our guests to join Matt’s Baraat Processional! Refreshments will be provided—please meet at the Fairmont Princess Lobby where signage will help guide you to the Baraat Site at 2:45PM as it will start promptly at 3PM. . A Baraat is the groom’s celebratory wedding procession, marking his arrival to the ceremony in grand style. Traditionally, the groom arrives on a horse (or other festive transport), surrounded by family and friends dancing to lively music—often led by a dhol drummer. It’s a high-energy, joyful tradition that symbolizes the groom’s journey to marry his bride. Guests are encouraged to join in the dancing and celebration as the procession makes its way to the ceremony site, where the bride’s family welcomes the groom with a formal greeting. If you prefer not to participate in the Baraat, please head directly to the Lagoon Lawn and be seated by 3:00 PM, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM.
