Things To Do

Higuera Street

Higuera Street

Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

San Luis Obispo is famous for their Thursday Night Farmers Market! Higuera Street is shut down and filled with local vendors. There is usually live music and lots of great fun. Occurs every Thursday 6pm-9pm

Cerro San Luis Obispo

Cerro San Luis Obispo

CA 93405

If you like to hike, Cerro San Luis is a favorite. This trail is only moderately difficult and offers incredible view of Laguna Lake, Bishop’s Peak, and even offers glimpses of the ocean. Trailhead is accessible from Madonna Inn. There is also a parking lot off Marsh Street. I recommend taking the Lemon Grove to Rock Garden trail to the top of the mountain. Other hikes I like: Easy - Laguna Park Trail : two mile flat loop Medium - Bishop Peak : one of SLO’s most popular hikes Challenging - Reservoir Canyon : 5.5 mile loop

Edna Valley Wine Tasting

Edna Valley Wine Tasting

The central coast is home to an extremely wide array of exceptional wineries. There are a handful of great testing rooms in Edna Valley where you can enjoy some local wines and the views of the valley. Edna Valley is located just a couple miles from Madonna Inn. Some of our favorites are: Biddle Ranch www.biddleranch.com Sausalito Canyon https://saucelitocanyon.com/ Baileyana https://www.baileyana.com/our-wines/

Montaña de Oro State Park

Montaña de Oro State Park

3550 Pecho Valley Road, Los Osos, CA 93402

San Luis Obispo is located just a couple of miles from the coast. “MDO” is a popular spot to enjoy a walk and take in the view of the Central Coast. Many trails also have beach access. MDO accessed by Pecho Valley Rd in Los Osos; there are a handful of parking lots and street parking.

Dairy Creek Golf Course

2990 Dairy Creek Road, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405

Dairy Creek hosts a 9 hole golf course, putting green, and TopTracer which is a Top Golf-esque experience. Reservations are recommended.

Central Coast Beaches

Central Coast Beaches

Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, and Cayucos are nearby beach towns. You can access the beach and enjoy sitting in the sand in all of these towns but they are all unique from each other. Avila beach has a handful of restaurants and shopping right along the beach. Cayucos has a quaint downtown one street off the beach. Cayucos is a great place to look for antiques and there is local famous cookie shop on the main drag. Pismo Beach is more geared towards tourists but has many fun bars and souvenir shops. We recommend the Splash clam chowder!

SLO Ranch Farms and Marketplace

SLO Ranch Farms and Marketplace

871 Froom Ranch Way, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405

SLO Ranch is a market with a handful of shops, restaurants, and cafes. If you are staying at the Madonna Inn it is a >1 mile walk. Some of my other favorite Food & Drinks around town: Coffee: Nautical Bean Pizza: Flour House American: Black Sheep Italian: Bueno Tavola BBQ: Firestone Grill Breakfast: Charlie’s Place Cocktails: SideCar Wine: Region Wine Bar
