FAQs

We will update this page periodically as the party draws near (and when questions are actually asked). In the meantime, here are some answers to questions that you may already have.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Although the RSVP date is officially July 25th (the date to confirm with the caterer the final head count), we would really appreciate it if you can RSVP as early as possible, preferably by June so that we can make other arrangements for the party. Please also remember that it is recommended to book your lodgings in the area by April 2020.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered anywhere. No presents necessary as your company will be present enough.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not so much a code as a suggestion: (rustic chic :-) or smart casual. But be sure to bring comfortable and sturdy walking shoes as the party will be mostly outdoors and the grounds are uneven.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely!

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

There will be some parking available at the house along the driveway and on the turning pad. However, depending on the number of guests attending, we may request that you carpool with other guests staying at the same hotel or nearby.

Question

Will there be biting insects at the party?

Answer

Yes, Summer is a ripe time for mosquitos and ticks in Maine and as the party will be mostly outdoors, please do take appropriate precautions.

Question

What is cell phone reception like up in Weld?

Answer

The cell reception in Western/Central Maine (where Weld and nearby towns are located) is spotty at best as you travel through the area. All lodging options should have either Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi calling, cell service, or land-line service or a combination of all the above. Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi calling and a land-line is available at our home.

Question

Will there be electricity and running water at your house?

Answer

Yes, this is not the 17th Century.
