Dina and Anton crossed paths for the first time at a salsa studio. While Anton was drawn to Dina's dashing smile and contagious joie-de-vivre; Dina was impressed by Anton's confident and smooth lead. However, they didn't strike up a conversation until months later, when they ran into each other at a salsa club. Dina was high on life, enjoying the start of her 25th year. Anton, smitten, asked her to dance. They smiled and laughed as they circled each other to the music. The night went on and finally as the lights came on Anton worked up the courage to ask for Dina's number. She must have felt very sassy that evening because her response was: "I don't give out my phone number at salsa clubs... but you can find me on facebook" The next morning, recovering from her hangover, she saw Anton had already messaged her. After much convincing she tentatively agreed to go on their first date, at a rock-climbing gym!
One Monday evening in December, Dina told Anton that she would be able to take the upcoming Friday and Monday off from work. The very next day Anton set a plan in motion and booked flights to the Dominican Republic. Wednesday he booked a romantic all inclusive hotel as an idea started to formulate in his head... Thursday, after consulting with his brother, Anton picked an engagement ring. On Friday the impromptu vacation commenced as Anton tried to smuggle the ring past TSA without Dina noticing. Upon arrival in DR, their adventure truly began as they ran across the local roads with their luggage trying to hail an Uber. Dina saved the day by charming the locals and security and finally they arrived at the beautiful Secrets Cap Cana. Their days were spent sunbathing and cooling off in the panoramic waters. The nights were filled with exotic cocktails, delicious food, and lively shows. At the end of Sunday night Anton asked to go for a late night walk on the beach. They found a hammock for stargazing and watched the shooting stars that seemed endless that night. The timing, the place, the sand under their feet, everything seemed perfect as he walked her down the beach. Anton made a wish, got down on one knee, and the rest is history!
