FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

TO THE CEREMONY: We politely request that there be no children under the age of 11 at the ceremony. TO THE PARTY: The party venue is in an open to the public space and there will be no closed doors or gates. On this basis we would recommend not bringing any children to the party, however if you must, they will need to be supervised at all times as it wouldn’t be a secure premiss for them.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

TO THE CEREMONY NO. As some of you are aware, we have a very limited number of guests attending our ceremony. We would like you to know that had we been able to stick to our original plan, we would have had you all there sharing this moment with us. TO THE PARTY YES! We are more than happy for plus ones at the Evening Party.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

FOR THE CEREMONY: We would appreciate all RSVPS for the Ceremony to be with us by Friday 20th March 2026 FOR THE PARTY: Although we are more flexible with numbers at our party, RSVPS are much appreciated as we need to give a rough number to the venue. If you know you're going to make it, please do let us know.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Cardiff is a relatively small city. One can stay anywhere really as it would only be a 10/15min taxi drive to the venue from most places. There are many hotels in town, however, if you would like to be close to the venue there are plenty of Airbnbs around as well as Bed and Breakfast options on Cathedral Road, only a short walk away from Kings Road Yard.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Prepare for a relaxed celebration at a charming courtyard in our local neighborhood. We are happy for you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. However, if you need a little guidance, 'smart casual' is probably the best description. To all our bold and fabulous friends, this also means you can be as out there as you wish! PS: The venue is a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces so don't forget to bring an extra layer as it still gets a little chilly out here in April.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

THE CEREMONY: There are limited spaces for parking at Insole Court. We would recommend getting taxis here as this would also allow for easier travel to Kings Road Yard following the ceremony. THE PARTY...at Kings Road Yard: Pontcanna is a residential area with a lot of ‘resident only’ parking. There is the odd space that can be found but we would recommend either coming by taxi or if you need to come by car there are the following car parks: All the Cardiff Council car parks are pay and display from 9am - 6pm. • Severn Road Car Park, 104 Cowbridge Road East CF11 3DU. (8min walk) • Llandaff Fields car park, Pontcanna, Cardiff CF11 9PQ (9min walk) • Fields Park Rd, Pontcanna, Cardiff CF11 9JP (11min walk) • Gary Street Carpark, Pontcanna, Cardiff CF11 9NJ (11min walk) • Harvey Street Pay and Display Car Park, Canton, Cardiff CF5 1QS (12min walk)

Question

Gifting

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. However, if you would like to contribute to our special day, we have created a honeymoon fund instead of registering for traditional gifts. Your donation will help make our honeymoon unforgettable and create memories that will last a lifetime. Please see the link on the gifting page
